NEXT EVENT

Getting prepared together is fun, builds friendships, and may save your life or the lives of your family, neighbors, and friends. Natural disasters like wildfires, floods, severe storms have been increasing in the last few decades.  We are stronger together in the face of these dangers; by joining forces, we can create more resilient neighborhoods.  Our region's response to a disaster—like the Cascadia earthquake—will depend not only on personal preparedness, but also on the connectedness and preparation of our neighborhoods.

Cedar Hills Ready! offers educational events, information, and opportunities to learn about easy ways you can prepare as a family and as a neighborhood.  Our educational meetings cover topics such as, building a go kit, storing water and supplies, constructing a simple sanitation system, establishing family emergency plans, and more..

Strength in Numbers

Professional first responders will not be able to help individuals in such a large natural disaster for an extended period. We can create a community where neighbors have the tools and knowledge and a plan to make sure everyone has the best possible chance of surviving. Our predictable future, if we do nothing? We could lose it all—our lives, homes, and neighbors.  We need to be prepared and connected with each other—so that we can be resilient in the face of any disaster.

Join the Team

Cedar Hills Ready! is a grassroots group of volunteers who are helping neighbors by offering educational events, information, and a variety of opportunities to learn about easy ways you can prepare. Our volunteers include members of Quake Up, the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), and other community organizations, as well as our neighbors who want to learn and get involved. You can participate too!  Join our friendly group of neighbors and get more connected.  Come to one of our meetings and join the fun.  We can also help get your block prepared with a free disaster response training session with the neighbors on your block
