Cedar
Hills is located just north of the City of Beaverton, Oregon
and just minutes from downtown Portland and the City of Hillsboro.
The name "Cedar Hills" refers to the cedar forest
that grew in the area and supplied timber for a pioneer saw
mill located in what is now Cedar Mill, just north of Cedar
Hills on Cedar Mill Creek.
In
1946 the Commonwealth Corporation started what is now the
community of Cedar Hills. The community was developed in several
phases beginning in 1946 and ending in the early 1970's. The
Cedar Hills Community currently consists of 2114 households, making it one
of the largest Association in the country, has long been known
as an attractive and desirable community.
