Cedar Hills Neighborhood

est. 1946

The area of Cedar Hills is located just North of the City of Beaverton, Oregon in unincorporated Washington County, only minutes from downtown Portland and the City of Hillsboro.

The name "Cedar Hills" refers to the cedar forest that grew in the area and supplied timber for a pioneer saw mill located in what is now Cedar Mill, just North of Cedar Hills on Cedar Mill Creek.

In 1946, the Cedar Hills Corporation started what is now the Homes Association of Cedar Hills (HACH). Our community was developed in several phases beginning in 1946 and ending in the early 1970s.  HACH currently consists of 2,114 households - making it one of the largest associations in the country - and has long been known as an attractive and desirable community.
