2019 Annual Meeting Results

The 73rd Annual Meeting of the Homes Association of Cedar Hills was held at Cedar Park Middle School, 11100 SW Park Way, Portland, Oregon on Wednesday, May 14, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. The total number of votes submitted was 1099 either by proxy or in person.

RESOLUTION RESULTS:

Resolution #1: Resolution No. 1: To amend Article III (h) (1) to permit a vehicle with some limited commercial markings to be parked on a Lot, but only upon advance approval by the Board as more particularly described in Exhibit A to the Notice of 2019 Annual Meeting.

Failed with 650 votes "For" and 396 votes "Against"

785 votes would be the necessary 75% of the total votes cast in order to pass the resolution.

Resolution #2: To amend Article III(h)(1) to permit the parking on a Lot of one van which is not more than 97 inches in height, is designed for passenger purposes, and, if Resolution No. 1 passes, with the same limited commercial markings as are permitted under Resolution No. 1, but only upon advance approval by the Board as more particularly described in Exhibit A to the Notice of 2019 Annual Meeting.

Failed with 685 votes "For" and 379 votes "Against"

798 votes would be the necessary 75% of the total votes cast in order to pass the resolution.

Resolution #3: To engage certified public accountants to perform an audit of the Association’s financial affairs for the 2018-2019 fiscal year at an estimated additional cost to the Association of $6,000.00 – 7,500.00.

Passed with 582 votes "For" and 461 votes "Against"

522 votes would be the necessary 50% of the total votes cast in order to pass.

Director Results:

Jeff Larson was elected with 580 votes

Ken Brown was elected with 573 votes

Chris Musolf received 485 votes which was not a majority, but it was the next highest number of votes received for the third director position. Director Musolf, as an incumbent-not-replaced, will remain a director for a one-year term.
